About Gastric balloon

The gastric balloon is a balloon that is installed in the stomach to occupy a part of it and allows the patient to lose weight by satiating and slowing down the transit of food without the need for general anesthesia.

Diet can be reduced and most importantly reevaluated in order to modify eating habits, and significantly reduce overweight.

This is a very effective way to help a person lose weight, by eating less, but it must be integrated into a complete program including nutritional advice, psychological support, and physical activity during the transformation period.

In brief, gastric ballooning is a temporary reduction in gastric volume. This reduction in gastric volume leads to a faster feeling of satiety.

As with all other approaches to obesity surgery, the patient is committed to changing his or her eating rhythm and to practicing an adapted physical activity.
